Holocaust Inquiry
What were the overall consequences of the Holocaust? What were Hitler's motives in wanting to kill Jewish people? Is he the only one to blame for the horrific events that took place? How did Hitler, and, if any others with mutual goals, accomplish their goals to kill the Jewish population?
The Holocaust was a deadly time for the Jewish people and a few other ethnic groups. "Holocaust" is the name for a number of outrageous events that took place during the war era. Basically, the Holocaust was a time when the goal of many people was to exterminate all of the Jews who lived. This was done by torture, not a simple death, but with gas chambers, concentration camps, overworking, malnutrition, and unsanitary living conditions. People were piled into compartments where they slept, ate, if they recieved any food, and spent the rest of their lives. They were thrown atop one another and they didn't receive clothing. In pictures we can see how their bodies were so skinny and we know that they were going to die soon after the picture had been taken.
The main leader of the Holocaust was Adolph Hitler. He was the one who commanded the attacks and the cruel methods to kill the Jews. No one can certainly say why Hitler hated Jewish people so much that he managed to kill 6 million of them. We can assume that he might have been mental or just had some really strong motives.
The connection between the novel, "Lord of the Flies," and the Holocaust is that the people involved were both savages. Hitler wanted to see blood as did Jack. The poor victims in the Holocaust were the boys themselves. In both, a world was created where civilization was unheard of; nobody had rules and regulations, everyone did what pleased them.
